Still at the helm of this Northport favorite since 1997, is Mark Bergbuchler, chef and owner. This small, quaint restaurant with its nautical décor continues to attract new customers as well as its regular clientele. The comfortable booths provide just the right amount of privacy and the crisp burgundy linens and dried floral arrangements insure a simple, pleasant setting for dining.
The Ship’s Inn presents a menu that offers a wide range of freshly made food choices at moderate prices. If your preference is something from the sea, there is an extensive offering of seafood, always fresh. For those who prefer something other than seafood, diners can choose from the tender and fresh veal dishes, luscious steaks and chops and poultry prepared several different ways. All entrees are generously proportioned and accompanied with fresh vegetables, tastefully prepared.
Keep in mind that Monday is Pasta Night beginning at 4:00 PM. Seafood pasta specialties like shrimp francese, penne a la vodka with shrimp, fettucine with scallops and shrimp are deliciously prepared. Prime Rib night is on Wednesdays, offering generous portions of the finest grade of beef at a special price. Week-end breakfasts beginning at 7:00 AM continue to draw people from far and wide to enjoy the freshest of eggs and delicious omelets made to order.
